Doesn't smell like a Rose Garden

Image result for farting at work cartoon

Just came across the following mood enhancer:

"(NEW YORK DAILY NEWS) — At this Texas auto dealership, gas is free.

An aggrieved car salesman filed a defamation suit against his former boss last week, claiming his ex-employer habitually used farts as ammunition, pinched staffers’ nipples, and once labelled him as a sex offender to colleagues.

Brett Bland claims in court documents that Jeremy Pratt, his old boss at the AutoNation Acura in League City, Tex., was relentlessly crude and created a “sexually hostile” environment through constant taunting, vulgar banter and frequent pinching of his male subordinates’ nipples."

We all know a man must do what he must do. At least that we were told.

Gassing up the work environment for dedicated employees is not an everyday occurrence even in Texas, home of the Big Sky and now of the reported Farting Boss.

But please! Leave the staffers' nipples alone! In today's work environment being called "The Nipper"is not desirable. In fact  is worse than a Level 3 nightmare.

And if by accident the "Nipper" should pinch a nipple of  one of the female associates, the man would be in deep trouble. And so he should be.

Pushing in Overdrive to Buy, Buy, Buy

Image result for pushing online newspapers to sign up cartoons

You are scanning the net for items to read. You click on an article published by a well known Daily Paper.

You start reading the article. After about 6 seconds another note pops up filling out the screen and asking you to sign up for the online paper if you wish to read the article.

I have no problem and faster than a tachyon moving in
outer space the web site is erased.

Not because they asking you to pay. After all they have to make money. The despicable thing is that you don't  even have the time to assess the worth of the article.

No! Just pay up. Perhaps it works and the GENIUS, the one that whispered the idea in the ear of the Boss is in for a Bonus.

Of course if the idea is a dud, the Genius is downsized and probably clicking on web sites in search  of a job.

For a job, where he/she would know the particulars of the job they signed up for.

Do You Believe Carbon Taxes Will Save The Planet?

Image result for carbon tax cartoon

Gasoline prices rising and the conversation on the merits and demerits of carbon taxes are intensifying.

A carbon tax is a tax imposed on the carbon content  of fuels.

However. many people are convinced that revenues collected under the name of carbon taxes is not always used to compensate the carbon emissions on which the tax is levied.

While most of us would like to believe that carbon taxes
somehow will save the planet, very serious doubts linger
that a lot more needed to save the planet.

Before we know, the population of the planet will reach ten billion. Apparently this is not a concern for the economists that favouring carbon taxes as a means of  saving the planet.

Then, there are the legions of who claim the proposed tax is a scam. In their view there is no irrefutable evidence anywhere in the world that charging people a few cents more on a liter of gas or any other carbon based fuel has changed or improved the current situation.

Governments should do a better job convincing people that collecting carbon taxes will make a difference and that the monies collected will not be part of the general revenue. Revenue which in some instances is used to ensure the political fortunes of the party controlling the collected revenues.

In our days people are better informed andthey are questioning everything, especially if they believe that a levied tax is unjustified.

The problem is not going to disappear, more needed than smooth talk from a politician.
